TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION

FINE ART PORTRAITURE IN THE MODERN MEDIUM OF COLORED PENCIL

Commission Procedure

¨       During an initial meeting by phone or in person we will discuss your thoughts on the subject, size, costuming, mood and other details of the portrait.

¨       The second meeting will be on the location of the photo session.  The contract will be signed at this time and a deposit of 30% will be collected.  I shoot a lot of photos so plan on about an hour — more time for additional subjects or pets.  I may take notes on eye color, skin tones and the like.

¨       I will choose a few photos which will make a good portrait.  You have this opportunity to select a favorite pose or expression.  We can do this in person or perhaps online.  Some clients do not want to see anything until the final portrait is complete — if this is your choice, it must be documented on the contract.

¨       The portrait will be completed in my studio.  The time will vary on my waiting list and complexity of the project — there will be an approximate delivery date noted on the contract.  Most portraits are completed in 4 to 6 weeks.

¨       We will meet for delivery of the finished portrait.  The balance is due at that time.
